Storyteller · Dreamer · Creator
Ruth A. Haastrup is a children’s author and former nursery practitioner based in London. Her experience working with young children showed her how strongly they respond to art, music, outdoor play, literacy, and other engaging activities that support early development. Those years inspired her to create stories that help children observe, understand, and enjoy the world around them.
Ruth began writing at a young age through poetry. Over time, writing became a way for her to express her thoughts, reflect on meaningful moments, and explore her beliefs. She now brings her poetic voice into children’s storytelling, creating books filled with imagination, warmth, and opportunities for learning.
Her book, A Different View: What Will They See?, was inspired by the importance of parents and children spending meaningful time together. Ruth believes that walks, shared hobbies, life lessons, and simple conversations can strengthen family relationships and give children a safe space to express themselves.
